How long does an Instagram Story stay visible?
A normal Instagram Story remains in its public Story tray for approximately 24 hours after that individual Story item was posted. Every new item has its own 24-hour window.
Does the 24-hour Story timer begin when I first view it?
No. The window begins when the creator posts that item, not when you open it. This calculator relies on the age you enter, so the result is an estimate rather than an independently verified Instagram timestamp.
Can I see a Story after it expires?
Usually not in the public Story tray. A creator can choose to retain a Story as a Highlight, which has a different lifetime. InstaVeil never unlocks private Archives.
Does the calculator connect to Instagram or store profiles?
No. The calculator performs the arithmetic in your browser without logging into Instagram, fetching a profile, or uploading the age you enter.
